Eetcafe Ibis is a African / Ethiopian restaurant that located in Amsterdam Oost. Its only 10 min from Amsterdam Central Station. In this restaurant you can enjoy the african and ethiopian spheres and enjoy one of our nice specialities.

In Africa, dining is a very social matter. The preparations, which take up most of the day, are done by the women.

How ever, eating the meal is a family affair. the diffrent courses are served on one big platter, as to give possible guest the opportunity to join.
The food is normaly eaten without cutlery. Before, and after the meal, the hands are washed. The main courses are often prepared with pepper.
Therefore, because of the supposedly benifitial progerties ( purifying the blood). the food can be quite spicy. Although at Eetcafe Ibis, you can add extra Ethiopian pepper according to your own taste.
